We are getting a huge response from our members here at our Merritt Athletic Clubs in Maryland, they are LOVING SoulBody Barre! We are at capacity in most of our classes and adding SoulBody Barre to two more of our locations. Ann Marie and Stacey have also been great to work with. I could not be happier with the programming!

For two years I’ve instructed SoulBody Barre, and of all my fitness studies, this is where my passion lies. I am a Team USA athlete, certified personal trainer, and cycle instructor, too. Confidently, SoulBody Barre showcases the holistic elements of training that every woman desires. Flowing beautifully, barre gives my body the ability to feel strong, fit and powerful, all while looking lean and sculpted through difficult choreographies that are put together by the SoulBody SQUAD.
I constantly feel empowered by my students that come through the door who are there for a great workout and challenge each choreographed piece presents. Each class focuses on every inch of the body, burning each muscle to reach its greatest potential and pushing yourself past what you thought you could do. Students are ready to take on that challenge — and always come back for more

We love SoulBody Barre “Unhitched”! Since bringing the class to BeachFit we have had a tremendous response from our members because the class is innovative and pushes you to work muscles you never realized you had. It is one of our most popular classes and we have had to add more timeslots to the schedule in order to keep up with and accommodate the demand. SoulBody Barre “Unhitched” is a great addition to our studio since we don’t have a fixed barre. This class offers not only mobility and convenience for the studio but also a challenge that our members really love because it lacks the fixed stability of more traditional barre classes. The workouts that Ann Marie and Stacey have choreographed flow well ensuring that you will get a full body burn while having a lot of fun along the way…. cue in the hip sways!

SoulBody Barre and SoulBody Barre “Unhitched” One-day Combination Training
Come train with SoulBody and master a comprehensive, pre-choreographed, more athletic-style BARRE class! Learn BOTH programs and choose which one you want to teach – or teach both! Led by creators Ann Marie Barbour and Stacey Vandiver, along with their team of Master Trainers, this one-day 9-hour training will give you all the tools you need to teach a full comprehensive BARRE class that is unique, cutting edge and constantly evolving with quarterly choreography releases. Join SoulBody and rock the studio floor in one of the fastest growing BARRE programs that will catapult you to the next level of skill and technique to help you inspire members to reach their fullest potential! SoulBody classes are fun, fast paced, but mindful in its approach with progressions and regressions to challenge and cater to all skill levels!
How it Works:
- At the end of the one-day training, trainees will receive a “Certificate of Completion”
- Within 30 days trainees must submit a video of themselves teaching a SoulBody Bare Class
- Trainees will either pass or re-submit
- Once “passed” the trainee with become part of the SoulBody Squad and must subscribe to the Soul Body Barre quarterly choreography
- Once certified, SoulBody Barre instructors have access to purchase SoulBody’s newest program – SoulBody POWER. It’s a 30 minute Barre/HIIT fusion with NO PROPS – think Bootcamp meets Barre
What you will learn:
- The 60 Minute SoulBody Barre and SoulBody Barre “Unhitched” class format
- Class Blocking
- All exercises of the program
- Set up anc execution of all exercises at the barre and with the Body Bar™
- Cueing and follow up cueing
- Sequencing and the signature SoulBody FLOW
- Working with the music and using the beat and rhythms to help create a seamless class
- Motivating the class through personal interaction, connection and inspiration
- CECs from ACE, AFAA, and NASM
- 1.2 NASM CECs
- 1.2 AFAA CECs
- 1.4 ACE CECs
- SoulBody prides themselves on the continuing education component of their BARRE program. The programs stay fresh, cutting edge, mindfully intense and most of all CONSISTENT!

SoulBody Barre is an invigorating total body workout with a more athletic approach created from using the most progressive techniques and cutting edge choreography set to motivating music that will transform your body resulting in power, physical grace and stamina.
SoulBody Barre is a one hour, mindfully intense class with a seamless flow that incorporates both dynamic and isometric movements that work deep into the muscles. Pulling from the principals of Pilates, the wisdom of yoga, intense power of dance and the body sculpting benefits of traditional interval strength training, we strive to have every person who walks through our studio door feel inspired and empowered to transform their body to its fullest potential.

SoulBody Barre “Unhitched” allows clubs and studios to get the same mindfully intense, more athletic BARRE workout as our SoulBody Barre class without having to install a fixed bar! All you need is Body Bar and ball for both strength and balance! Great for a larger Group Exercise setting!

SoulBody Barre “Unhitched” uses opposition in the body as well as isometric push and pulls on the Body Bar to work deeper into the muscles, creating a more defined body with better balance and posture. Pulling from the principals of Pilates, the wisdom of yoga, the grace of dance and the body sculpting benefits of traditional interval strength training SoulBody Barre “Unhitched” helps develop dynamic strength, endurance, balance, flexibility and coordination. Get a full-body work-out that keeps the heart pumping while strengthening and toning muscles and building a strong core. No props for this class…just your mind, body and soul! Sneakers optional. Come experience the “POWER” of SoulBody!

Ann Marie and Stacey have a passion for movement and a healthy lifestyle!
Together they’ve been in the fitness industry for 15+ years and saw a need for a comprehensive BARRE program with a more athletic approach that was consistent and readily available to large clubs and studios alike, helping them create that “boutique barre” experience!
Although busy with 7 kids between them, they took their passion for fitness and their idea for the perfect one-hour BARRE class, and created a pre-choreographed program with just the right blend of challenging, unique and effective moves set to motivating music.
